About Me:
So, all of my friends have been blogging for quite some time, and I finally decided I had to jump on the bandwagon. I was never sure I had the time, or that anyone would really take interest in the things I love (being a mom, planning amazing parties, and Disney are just a few!). My New Year's resolution this year is to take the plunge into the blogosphere. Let's hope it's not a belly flop.....
Here's a little about me:
I'm mom to a 4-year-old little girl and a 20-month-old little boy who are the loves of my life (and the perfect excuses to plan absolutely adorable parties!), a high school English teacher (which helps fuel my love for all things literary), and lucky wife to a funny (and handsome) fellow Disney addict. My family and I live in Maine, much to my husband's chagrin (since he grew up in Arizona), and mine sometimes (especially when I think about how far Maine is from WDW). We do love being close to some of the most beautiful spots on Earth - Acadia, anyone? And, we've also decided that being as close as we are to the pristine forests of Northern Maine means that we can hide out in the wilderness in the case of a zombie apocalypse ;). Until then, we travel to WDW at least once a year as DVC members to help forget the mundane aspects of our lives. In between trips, we enjoy the laugh-a-minute antics of our children, whose current hobbies include watching Disney Jr., and singing along to Disney music.
I have a B.A. in English, a B. A. in History, an M. A. in Teaching, and an M.Ed. in Literacy. We own approximately 5,000 books, and in addition to my love of Disney and party-planning, I read at least four books to my kids each day. I've also been struggling with losing weight, and have been trying to take up running seriously - but that's been challenging. My family and I ran in the Royal Family 5K at Disney a few years ago, and we hope to run the half (if not full) marathon at some point in the future.
Anyway, I try to be the best mom, wife, and me I can be every day. If any of this sounds even remotely interesting to you, then please read on.........
